VenueNext officials today announced they have signed a deal with Legends Hospitality to integrate their mobile platform at Yankee Stadium and AT&T Stadium. The partnership has been in place for several months as the tech vendor gradually rolls out new features in new mobile applications for both facilities, according to VenueNext VP/Marketing Louise Callagy. In Arlington, some pieces are already folded into AT&T Stadium's new mobile app, including video replays and parking directions. Wayfinding features inside the stadium will be added in the near future. At Yankee Stadium, the mobile upgrades include scanning of tickets at gate entrances. Legends has purchased a financial stake in VenueNext. The Legends deal comes after the DeVos family, which owns the Magic, became an investor in VenueNext after signing a mobile tech deal at Amway Center. VenueNext was formed two years ago by Aurum Partners, a company owned by the York family, which owns the 49ers. Its mobile platform, which integrates ticketing, food service, retail, parking, seat upgrades and video content into one application, was first applied at Levi's Stadium. VenueNext's other investors include Causeway Media Partners, Live Nation Entertainment, Twitter Ventures and Aruba Networks.
