Sports Execs Say Fans Know The Difference Between Primary, Secondary Ticket Markets

A majority of sports execs agree that fans understand the difference between primary and secondary market ticket sources, but also feel fans do not understand who receives the revenue from ticketing fees, according to a poll conducted in May by Turnkey Sports Poll. Sixty-five percent of execs agreed that fans know the difference between primary and secondary markets, while 86% disagreed that fans understand who receives the revenue from ticketing fees. Execs were also asked whether there should be federal legislation regulating the secondary ticketing in sports and live entertainment. Sixty-four percent of execs said there should be no legislation (Turnkey Sports Poll).
