Pac-12 Enterprises Adds Sam Silverstein As Head Of Digital Content
Published May 22, 2012Pac-12 Enterprises has hired veteran online media exec SAM SILVERSTEIN to be its Head of Digital Content, building on to its exec team for the forthcoming suite of TV networks and websites. Silverstein was Senior Dir of tentpole events at Yahoo Sports and was a 10-year veteran of the company, playing a key role in its ascendancy to the most-trafficked U.S. sports website. Silverstein previously was the first Managing Editor for Yahoo Sports. Silverstein will oversee live streaming for hundreds of Pac-12 sporting events each year, ranging from marquee events like football and basketball to women's softball and volleyball. Sliverstein said, "I'm just as excited about Oregon State softball as I am about the Rose Bowl. It's all about connecting fans with their passions and their events." The Pac-12 Digital Network will be part of a broader media initiative that also includes a national TV network and six regional networks. Silverstein will report to DAVID AUFHAUSER, hired in January as Pac-12 Enterprises VP & GM of Digital Media.
