Daytona Speedway Unveils Partnership With Florida Lotto Around Summer Races
Published May 17, 2012Daytona Int'l Speedway has signed a promotional partnership with the Florida Lottery that will bring the national Powerball drawing to the track after the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coke Zero 400 on July 7. In addition to holding a national drawing for one of the nation's biggest lottery's at the track, Florida Lottery is incorporating DIS into its new "Florida Lotto Gas for Life Promotion" that will run from next week through mid-July. Customers who buy at least $5 in Florida Lotto tickets will receive a voucher to receive gas for life and other prizes, such as a VIP trip to the Nationwide Series Subway Jalapeno 250 on July 6 at DIS and the Coke Zero 400. DIS VP/Marketing Sean Belgrade said he expects the partnership to help drive ticket sales for this summer's races. Belgrade: "Having this exposure and aligning ourselves with them puts us in several thousand retail outlets throughout the state."
